Andrew Aebersold

Andrew Aebersold

President / CEO

Tenacious entrepreneur. Cunning businessman. Ravenous student of emerging technology. Gifted performer and musician. Any attempt to define Andrew merely serves to limit him. But one thing is for sure; everything he does, he does well. He hails from a long line of self-made businesspeople, so it should come as no surprise that he’s been a bit of an interactive pioneer since grade school. He was one of the first active members of the BBS community, moving on to design his own computer programs before he could even drive. An early adopter and believer in the power of interactive media, he mastered a tremendous volume of technology while most were still trying to figure out what to do with it all. He is a virtual celebrity on forums all over the region not only for his advanced tech skills, but also for his approachability and his willingness to help. His abilities have helped small businesses and Fortune 500 companies break new interactive ground, elevating brands such as YUM, CHS hospitals, KCTCS, Active Ankle and many, many more. If there's a better way to do something, he'll find it. And you'll like it.

Corey Capps

Corey Capps

Senior Web Developer

There are two situations in which you absolutely want Corey on your side. A zombie invasion, and the creation of paradigm-breaking interactive media. Both require a cunning tactical mind. Both require a desire to triumph over shuffling, mindless hordes. Both require the ability to hit a moving target. And both require absolute focus and a complete understanding of what’s happening all around you. Driven by a clear and dedicated mind, he has little tolerance for fluff and foppery, and even less tolerance for second-class work. His was the first generation to grow up with internet access, so interactive media is as much a part of his worldview as it is his job description. In his mind, any concept can be broken down and reassembled seamlessly into the digital world; he believes in finding success where others only see possibility, and constantly seeks to blend the raw logic of technology with a warm, approachable human element. His mind is ravenous for new skills and abilities, and he believes that staying ahead of the curve means being as adaptable as one is smart. No matter what you need, this guy has the braaains.

Donovan DeFerraro

Donovan DeFerraro

Creative Director

Some kids like to be the class clown. Donovan was the class artist, showing an aptitude for drawing and designing while most children his age were still learning not to eat mud. He began his career designing concert flyers, but visual imagery is just one of the many skills he brings to the table. In fact, he seems to have been designed from the ground up to be Mediaura's creative director. He's a dedicated family man, so he has an appreciation for group harmony and mutual support. He DJs in his spare time, so he knows the inspirational potential of a good performance that gets the crowd chanting. And he's an enthusiastic sports fan with a knack for stats, so he understands the importance of a team effort. In fact, he doesn't believe in superstars or pampered egos, because in his mind, the team triumphs as one. And everyone has to go to practice. Donovan knows that creativity feeds on itself, which is why he believes every project should be touched by every hand. He also knows that solid ideas come not only from the brain, but also from the heart. He believes in guiding rather than dictating, and knows that a good leader doesn't always come up with the concept, but always finds a way to make it better.

Dawn Geary

Dawn Geary

Business Development Director

When you've traveled the world and seen some of the most beautiful things it has to offer, it's hard to limit your thinking. So Dawn Geary doesn't. A foreign exchange student in Japan at age 16, she returned to the states to begin a career in medicine. Then, one fateful evening, she agreed to help a friend coordinate a fashion shoot. And nothing was ever the same. A passion for visual impact awoke within her, and it wasn't long before she found herself behind the scenes in the fashion industry, surrounded by some of the world's preeminent artists and fashion icons in cities like London, Moscow, Montreal, Milan and Paris. And she absorbed every bit of it. Her brilliant mind soon found a way to turn this passion into a career, working in marketing, branding and creative direction for clients the world over. A chance phone call from longtime friend and fellow technophile Andrew Aebersold brought her to Mediaura, to the delight of clients and staff members alike. Dawn knows that the best results often come from sourcing the best people. Her efforts for the American Breast Cancer Foundation, in which she coordinated contributions from some of the world's leading artists, bear witness to that fact. But she also knows the power of individual ideas, often seeking solace in nature to develop a concept or idea unhindered by outside influences. In short, she has mastered the ability to get the best work out of others, and out of herself.

Rachel Burgess

Rachel Burgess

Account Director

It could be argued that the best leaders are those who guide with morality and decency that are as sharp as their business acumen. Therefore, it could be argued that Rachel is, to her core, the perfect person to guide Mediaura's creative efforts through today's business environment. Throughout her career she has helped small companies grow into big companies, and good companies evolve into better companies. While many talk about business ethics, Rachel lives it on every level, and always insists on doing not only the smart thing, but the right thing as well. But don't mistake decency and kindness for complacency. She is a fiercely competitive entrepreneur, with skills in finance, real estate, specialty marketing and business development. Rachel personally oversees every project that comes through Mediaura's front door, using her many skills to maximize return on projects large and small.

Matt Balmer

Matt Balmer

Software Developer

Hailing from a family of programmers and artists, Matt is a natural fit at Mediaura.  His are the hands of a peformer in every sense of the word.  One moment they’re flying up and down the frets of his prized Ibanez guitar or the keys of a piano.  The next, they’re creating something amazing using an entirely different kind of keyboard.  Yet in his mind, these two worlds are not entirely dissimilar, for his programming work is imbued with the same sense of passion he brings to his music.  Both are guided by logical principles, yet leave plenty of opportunities for unique and colorful expression.  And in his mind, both have the power to move, motivate, inspire and delight.  Matt is never satisfied with ordinary, and enjoys nothing more than completely disassembling an idea to build it back up in an even stronger execution.

Brad Cypert

Bradley Cypert

Web Developer

You could say Brad is a quick, adaptable thinker. But then, you’d be making a gross understatement. Perhaps the word “prodigy” is a bit more apropos. While still in high school, he entered the Business Professionals of America C++ programming competition, using skills he had learned less than 24 hours before the contest began. While most would have been satisfied to even finish under such circumstances, Brad not only won at the state level, but went on to win district as well, eventually placing in a top tier at the national level. That's what he can do with 24 hours. Now imagine what he can accomplish in a week. Fluent in six different computer languages, Brad sees interactive programming as a way to put his logic skills to the test, push boundaries, and create new masterpieces. He also plays a mean ukulele.
